How It All Began
Vic Edelbrock Sr. was born near Wichita, Kansas, in 1913. His early mechanical talent led him into auto repair, where practical problem-solving became the foundation for a performance-parts story that later shaped the Edelbrock name.
California... A Fresh Start
Vic moved west to California in 1931 and later opened repair shops in Los Angeles. The work sharpened his reputation as a mechanic and put him closer to the rising hot-rod culture that would define Edelbrock performance.
The Slingshot Manifold
